Collision / contact - feet underground, soft obstacles

Posted by hagrid67 almost 3 years ago

I see the skeleton’s feet going underground. Is this intentional? What’s it modelling - a soft or muddy surface?
Similarly, the feet sometimes pass through the obstacles. I have rotated the rendered view and can see this from all angles (ie it’s not just that the feet are in front of the obstacle, etc) These “overlapping” contact events seem to coincide with the slow timesteps, which suggests it’s doing something intentional and complicated here. Can you say what it is?

I’ll try to add an image if this discussion board allows.

(I think these points have come up in the gitter channel too) Many thanks.
